We listen, act, and transform
Many individuals find themselves struggling with how to get through difficult life events. Maybe you find yourself turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms through the use of drugs, alcohol, or relationships. These events may make it difficult to do even to smallest of tasks, like getting out of bed in the morning or eating. Sometimes it may manifest into not wanting to leave the house, and being fearful of social situations. Taking the first step towards therapy is taking the first step towards bettering yourself and the quality of your life. But what separates me from the rest of the therapists that your looking at?
I take a different approach to counseling than others. I try a weave my personal and professional experience with trauma and mental illness to create a more relational experience for the client. Having endured the torturous ritual of sitting in a room while someone stared at you for 45 mins, I vowed to myself to never do that to any of my clients.
With all of that said it is still hard to take the next step in helping yourself. It can be scary to think about sharing your darkest parts of yourself with another person. The truth is, you can do it in your own time. So take a deep breath and when your ready reach out. Feel free to check out my website for more information or schedule a free consultation.
